A tormented writer is left at a standstill when the space inside of him becomes occupied by the memories of a once cherished companion. The entire scenario was evoked from the first line “Why did I save this painting you made…” The chord progression at the beginning of this song was inspired by ELO’s Strange Magic. There are relatively few words in this song and as a writer I was being very deliberate in trying to paint a picture with such little description. I hope potential listeners will find the title inviting ;)
